Is the seat height adjustable?

While the seat itself is not adjustable, it's designed to be low for safety reasons (better stability with lower center of gravity) while providing comfortable accommodation for heights ranging from 4 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 6 inches.

What is the ground clearance?

dashmoto® has 5.75" ground clearance.

How far is the seat from the ground?

The seat base is 19.5 inches off the ground.

Is dashmoto® water resistant or water proof?

The dashmoto® is water-resistant, providing protection against direct spraying water and splashes from all directions. It is not waterproof, as it is not designed for water submersion.

The foot peg is too small. Do you have adaptive solutions?

We completely understand the various needs for adaptation. Because adaptive solutions come in many shapes and forms we currently do not offer adaptive accessories, however we encourage our customers to explore adaptive solutions that are available in the market such as velcro and pedal straps that can be customized to individual needs. And in case helpful, the foot peg is wrapped with silicone to ensure a secure grip, helping maintain proper foot positioning during rides.

Are there any reflectors on dashmoto®?

There are no reflectors on the dashmoto®. This decision was made to maintain a clean aesthetic, considering its primary use indoors. For outdoor use, instead of traditional reflectors, integrated lights provide the visibility to see and be seen. Additionally, users can easily add reflectors according to their needs.

Does the seat have arm rests?

The dashmoto® is designed without an armrest to prioritize safety. Keeping both hands on the handlebar ensures better control and responsiveness while riding. Additionally, the absence of an armrest contributes to keeping the dashmoto® lightweight, enhancing overall maneuverability.

Where is the battery?

The battery is located under the seat.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

The dashmoto® battery can be fully charged in 2.5 hours and gives you 15 miles of riding time on a fully charged battery, depending on the speed and surface you are riding on.

Is dashmoto® foldable?

dashmoto® is foldable with just one click and has a removable seat for easy storage and transportation.

How much space does dashmoto® occupy?

dashmoto® is very suitable to be kept indoors, with it occupying a space of H 17" (43 cm), L 40.6" (104 cm), and W 23.6" (60 cm) when the seat is removed and the dashmoto® is folded.

Does dashmoto® fit my specific body type? What is the maximum rider weight?

The dashmoto® can comfortably handle riders weighing up to 375 lbs (170 kg). Its carbon fiber frame provides stability and durability, while the well-padded, supportive chair ensures a comfortable rider experience.

How much does dashmoto® weigh?

dashmoto® weighs 42 lbs but when you remove the seat, it’s only 26 lbs making it incredibly easy for anyone to lift and carry.

Is there a user manual or guide available online?

Can I customize my dashmoto® with accessories or additional features?

What is the size of the battery?

It's 15" x 6" x 2". Both the standard and long range battery have the same measurements.

Can I return my dashmoto®?

If you purchased your dashmoto® directly from dashmoto.us , you can return it within 7 days of receiving your order, with proof of purchase

Are there any fees for returning?

We’ve removed return shipping fees. A small 3–6% restocking fee may apply if the unit has been used. Any shipping charged at checkout is non-refundable.

What condition should my dashmoto® be in?

Please limit your ride to under 1 mile to minimize restocking fees. Depending on the return condition, a 3–6% restocking fee may apply.

How will I receive my refund?

Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear after processing.

What if it’s been more than 7 days?

After 7 days, returns and refunds are no longer available. However, your dashmoto® remains covered under our 1-year limited warranty which includes eligible replacements but not refunds.

If something goes wrong how do I get it fixed?

If you purchased your dashmoto® directly from dashmoto.us, simply contact us at care@dashmoto.us , and we’ll guide you every step of the way. Depending on the issue, this may include easy-to-follow instructions for minor fixes, direct support from our team, or coordination with a trusted local bike shop.

If you purchased through an authorized dashmoto® dealer, we recommend contacting your dealer first for local, hands-on support. If needed, we work directly with your dealer to assist with diagnostics and resolution.

What is the warranty?

All dashmoto® units include a one-year limited warranty for service and replacement. Wear-and-tear items like wheels and brakes aren’t included, but you can extend coverage for up to 5 years if you’d like extra protection

Do I need to register my dashmoto®?

If you purchased your dashmoto® directly from dashmoto.us, there’s no need to register—your purchase and warranty are already on file.

Is this covered by Medicare or insurance?

It's important to note that dashmoto® is not considered a medical device. For accurate guidelines on what is covered by Medicare or your insurance, we recommend reaching out to them directly.

We offer shipping for dash 3 purchases within the contiguous U.S, Alaska and Hawaii. Remote and/or hard to reach areas could also be subject to additional shipping charges. For international delivery, please email us at care@dashmoto.us for a custom quote.

How do I make an order?

Do you offer payment plan?

Yes, we offer flexible payment options through Shop Pay. You can choose to pay in installments over time, making your purchase more manageable.

How does Shop Pay installment work?

To use Shop Pay Installment, select it at checkout and provide your date of birth and annual income. Choose a payment plan and enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security number for verification. We offer pop up test ride series and test rides by appointment in San Francisco & Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, Naples, FL and Brooklyn, NY. What is the Florida sales tax refund?

Florida waives sales tax on mobility aid purchases for eligible customers. If you purchased a dashmoto® to support a physical mobility impairment, submit this form to request a tax refund: https://journey.dashmoto.us/tax-refund

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat rate of $195 within the contiguous U.S. and $650 to Hawaii. Holiday surcharges may apply. For shipping internationally, please contact us at care@dashmoto.us for a custom quote.

How long is delivery?

For orders to the West Coast, it is typically 3-4 business days, while orders to the East Coast takes 5-7 business days.

How do I start the ride? Does it need keys to turn it on?

dashmoto® does not require keys. To turn it on and start your ride, all you need to do is press the start button.

How do the different riding modes work?

dashmoto® is equipped with three modes: Walk, Cruise, and Speed modes. The walk mode allows you to go up to 4 mph which is perfect for riding in crowds or supermarkets, the cruise mode allows up to speeds of 8 mph, making it perfect for relaxing rides around the neighborhood. The speed mode is perfect for commuting and having fun, with a maximum speed of 18 mph.

Is dashmoto® suitable for daily commuting and casual use?

Yes, dashmoto® is built with daily commuting in mind while providing you with the ability to have fun with its speed mode. It is suitable for anyone, whether you have mobility issues or want a new way to commute through your city.

Can dashmoto® be operated in the rain or inclement weather conditions? How does it perform in such conditions?

While dashmoto® is not specifically designed for inclement weather. With its water resistant frame and electronics there's no problem riding it in mildly rainy or wet conditions. As with any vehicle, we recommend exercising sensible judgement and prioritizing safety when riding in such conditions. We don't recommend riding dashmoto® in severe rains or storms.

Will it drive on grass and gravel?

dashmoto® is not designed for all terrain, however it can handle mild rough surfaces such as uneven pavement, compacted dirt paths, light gravel, or groomed grass surfaces. Just be mindful of the traction.

How does dashmoto® handle inclines or steep hills?

dashmoto® is suitable for gentle slopes up to 12 degree inclines which is perfect for urban areas.

Does dashmoto® have anti-theft features? How can you prevent it from being stolen?

The current version of dashmoto® doesn't have anti-theft features. However, the dashmoto® has a 3 digit pin password option that you can set to prevent people from starting the dashmoto®. Please note that we will not be able to help you reset or retrieve your PIN number should you forget. Another option is to remove the battery and take it with you. While the above two options do not prevent anyone from riding the dashmoto®, it still does not prevent theft as the device remains easily portable. For security and peace of mind, we suggest utilizing a bike lock or cable to secure the dashmoto® against a stable structure, like you would a bicycle.

Can I bring my dash 3 on a cruise?

Yes, many riders use their dash 3 for traveling on cruise ships. Just check with your cruise line ahead of time to be sure, as every cruise has different procedures and policies regarding mobility scooters.

Can dashmoto® be brought on a plane? What does airline approved mean

Yes, dashmoto® is very suitable for air travel. Airline approved means you are allowed to ride the in the airport and have the dashmoto® checked in at the gate. The only requirement is for you to take out the battery and bring it with you aboard the plane. Federal Aviation Administration has a special allowance for mobility devices accompanying disabled passengers permitting a battery of up to 300 Wh.

What is the expected lifespan of the battery and how do I replace it?

dashmoto® has a UL-certified lithium-ion battery which has a lifespan of around 5 years under the usual once a day full charge cycle. It's very common for the battery to last longer than 5 years if not abused. If the battery reaches the end of its lifespan, you will be able to contact our team and we will service your battery.

How do I maintain my dashmoto®?

There's no special maintenance for the dashmoto®. We recommend you clean it every so often, check your tire pressure (45 psi recommended) and not abuse it past its limitations in terms of speed, weight, and drive surface. Are the tires and brakes replaceable

Yes, these are consumables and can be purchase by sending us an email at care@dashmoto.us.

Where is it safe to reverse with the dash 3?

Reversing is safest on flat, even surfaces where you have full visibility and control. Avoid reversing on slopes or uneven terrain, especially downhill, as this can shift your weight backward and increase the risk of tipping. For any incline, always face forward and ride down with caution.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

If you are riding outdoors in greater speed than 4 mph, we always recommend wearing a helmet and in some countries/states wearing one is mandated by law. Your safety should come first!

How safe are your batteries?

We design, manufacture, and test each dashmoto® battery to the most rigorous industry standards. dashmoto® has UL 2271 certification, which is widely recognized by governments around the world as the best standard for the safety of electrical systems for personal e-mobility devices.

Where is it legal to ride?

It is generally street legal but regulations differ between states and localities. If you have a disability, the ADA guidelines state that mobility scooters like dashmoto® are permitted on sidewalks and within buildings. These scooters can access all public areas unless safety concerns prevent it. As a responsible rider, it's important to be mindful of your surroundings, show consideration for others, and operate at pedestrian-friendly speeds.

Is dashmoto® legal where I live?

Electric scooters are a relatively new way to travel, and global regulations are still catching up with the technology. It's important to know the local laws where you live, so reach out to the authorities to make sure your dashmoto® fits within their current regulatory structure.
